The Mustangs are giving back to our community! Raymond Central High School will host a Halloween Blood Drive with the Nebraska Community Blood Bank on Friday, October 31, from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM. The drive will be held on the bloodmobile parked outside Mr. Henderson’s classroom.

Every donation made through the Nebraska Community Blood Bank helps people right here in our local community. In just an hour or less, one donor can help save up to three lives.

All donors will receive a free beanie and a Halloween goodie bag filled with candy and a few surprises. Donors are welcome to wear costumes if they’d like, just remember that full-face coverings and classroom props aren’t allowed, and sleeves should be easy to roll up for donation.

How to sign up:
Students can stop by Ms. Starner’s classroom to sign up for a time slot and pick up a parent permission form (required for 16-year-olds). Signed forms should be returned as soon as possible.

Community members can sign up online at ncbb.org/searchdrives using the sponsor code RCHS, or by scanning the QR code on posters around the school.

Let’s make this Halloween blood drive a success. Your donation can make a real difference for people in our community.

The Raymond Central Cross Country team capped off their historic season at the NSAA Cross Country Championships. In the Class C girls race, both Teagan Schomer and Allyson Tvrdy ran under the previous school record time. Also crossing the finish line for the Mustangs were Shyanne Leggett, Jasmine Siverina, Zaylee Kring, and Marissa Tvrdy. The girls team placed 11th. In the Class C boys race, Eli Zobel matched his season's best, and Sam Norlen ran tough in his first state meet appearance. The team would like to thank everyone who travelled to Kearney to support them. This may be the end of the road for the 2025 season, but there's still no road too long for a Mustang.
