When asked the question; what has being in the art club helped you with the answer is clear. "Art club has helped me grow as a person because it gave me a community." Ash has done sports and been in other clubs but none of them have been as friendly as the Art club. Everyone in the club is nice and willing to help out each other if anyone has questions or needs input on a project.
For college, they plan on doing an academic transfer from SCC to UNL to get a BFA in either ceramics or printmaking. They came to this decision due to Mrs. Craige and her pushing them to do the things that they love and to never stop creating.
Ash has been a part of the art club since the club was started. This year and last year were the first times that the art club pushed members to enter into competitions. This year Ash entered two portfolios into the Scholastic Art and Writing competition and ended up getting the Silver Key and award for their portfolio and an honorable mention for one of the print designs they chose to submit as well.
