Mrs. Parks

This week's teacher spotlight is... Mrs. Parks! What she likes about Raymond Central is the small community and how she is able to have her students and their siblings in her classes so that she can get to know them more. Being a teacher or staff was what she wanted to be when she was a kid although in college she explored different options until she grew back into it. If she wasn't a teacher she would want to work as some type of event planning. One thing that students would find surprising about her would be when she was a kid she was obsessed with collecting baseball cards. What makes a good day at RC for her would be having her students engaged in the different activities and enjoying those activities. Another class she would enroll in even if it was just for a day would be some of Mrs. Craig's art classes, specifically ceramics. Some advice that she would tell her students would be, "When you're thinking about situations and getting stressed consider if it will matter in 10 minutes, 15 minutes or longer."
