This weeks' staff spotlight is Amanda Ehlers, our school nurse. Amanda  was always interested in Science and Healthcare. She has worked in the Hospital setting and Clinical setting for the majority of her career. She worked in surgery and the recovery room on the heart and vascular team. The hospital involved a lot of on-call time and time away from home, so Amanda started working as a substitute school nurse for LPS and that led to a full time School Nurse position. Learning to be a School Nurse instead of a nurse in surgery was so much fun for her and she felt so fulfilled! She loves helping kids and families. Working with healthcare and education is a great combination.  When it comes to her job as a whole, she loves seeing students and helping them feel better with all things in life.  Outside of work, Amanda is an avid reader and is in a book club. Amandea has 3 kids, who you may already know, that she loves to drive around and watch activities with!  Lastly, if Amanda  could travel anywhere in the world she  would like to see it all! Maybe doing medical mission trips in Africa and Latin and South America.  How wonderful!
