Miss. Starner

This week's staff spotlight is Ms. Starner! She loves the small class sizes, and since they are small she is able to find time to connect with each of her students. She has always wanted to be a teacher for as long as she can remember. While she was growing up she would always help her peers with homework and explain her teachers' lectures in a different way if they couldn’t understand. She loves language arts and helping her peers. At Raymond Central, she is able to do all those things. If she wasn’t a teacher she’d want to travel the world as an influencer/writer. Something that might be surprising to her students would be that she graduated from a high school similar to RC, North Platte High. She loves to travel, go to concerts, paint, and review the coffee shops around Lincoln. A ‘good day’ at school for her is when she would overhear her students talking about the subjects they’re learning in their conversations without prompting her. “Just recently I overheard my freshman discussing figures of speech in their normal conversations. They even went so far as to come up with sentences that combined two different figures of speech on their own!”. If she were to enroll in another teacher’s class it would be Ms. Park's food class, that way she could cook up some wonderful food during the day!
