Mrs. Winfrey

Today's Staff Spotlight is Mrs. Winfrey! What Mrs. Winfrey likes about Raymond Central is that she likes making connections with the students and staff members. "Mostly everyone is friendly and willing to talk about their lives.". Being a staff wasn't always what she wanted to be while growing up. At different points in her life, she wanted to be an art teacher, a veterinarian, and a pediatrician. If she wasn't a teacher she would be something in the realm of biology, working in either a zoo or national park with the animals and wildlife. One thing that students would be surprised about her would be that she prefers writing in cursive. She learned how to write in cursive in 3rd grade and didn't stop until she was in college when she realized that she would have to write on a whiteboard someday. So she started practicing her print. What makes a 'good day' for Mrs. Winfrey would be when there are good conversations and it's fun but also the work is still getting done. It is all about balance. A class that Mrs. Winfrey would like to enroll in would be any art or food class. Mrs. Winfrey loves being creative and cooking!
