Raymond Central Bands

Jordan Luke graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Music Education degree in December 2010. He began working at Raymond Central in February of 2011. He has also earned a Master of Music Education degree from UNL in 2017. He enjoys helping students master their instruments and find joy in making music individually and as a group.

Mr. Luke is responsible for teaching high school, junior high, and 5th grade band. The high school band includes marching band, athletic pep band, and jazz band. Beginning in 6th grade, all band students have the opportunity to participate in solos and small ensemble groups at contests as well as several honor bands outside of school time.

Mr. Luke is at the Jr./Sr. High building in the mornings for 6-12 grade band classes. He travels to either Valparaiso or Ceresco in the afternoons for 5th grade band.

When he is not teaching, he loves spending time with his wife and six kids, as well as playing and repairing tubas.
