Mrs. Craig

One of this week's staff spotlight was Mrs. Craig! Mrs. Craig was raised on a farm in Beatrice, Nebraska. While in high school, she was involved in volleyball, Art club, Spanish club, and Key club, and was a cheerleader! Her high school art teacher became the inspiration for her to work in the art education field. He told her that she would do a fantastic job in the area. She has received her bachelor's in Liberal Arts Degree with a Graphic Design minor. She then completed her Master's in Education in Curriculum.  Mrs. Craig joined Raymond Central in the fall of 2020, teaching grades 6-12. Mrs. Craig was accepted to the MFA program with a focus on ceramics and will graduate in the Spring of 2026! Her favorite subject to teach is of course art! Her greatest strength is being artistic. According to her students, she is encouraging and patient, but she also helps lead them to their full potential. If Mrs. Craig wrote a book about her job life, she would title it CREATE, don’t hate! Mrs. Craig said that if she could travel anywhere in the world, she would travel to Italy because of the amazing historical art that was created! Some of Mrs. Craig's favorite things to do in her free time are art and tractor pulling with her family. Her favorite shows to watch are Yellowstone and Big Bang Theory. Mrs. Craig’s favorite foods are pancakes or waffles. Finally, her favorite superhero is Iron Man because he is hilarious! Thank You Mrs. Craig for all that you do for Raymond Central!
