Mrs. Enevoldsen

One of this week’s staff spotlight is Mrs. Enevoldsen from Val! Mrs. Enevoldsen grew up on a farm in a small town in Minnesota called Adrian. She has 2 brothers and a sister and her parents still live on their farm in Minnesota. She played some softball and volleyball in her younger years. While in high school, she was a wrestling manager for the wrestling team! This is her 17th year teaching. She got into the teaching field because she stated that it was just a passion that she had since she was a small kid! She said that it started as a love for children!  Mrs. Enevoldsen went to college in Mankato, MN, and student taught in a first-grade classroom in Apple Valley, MN. From there, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, and taught first grade for 4 years. She met my husband, Joey at that time. He lived in Vegas selling real estate in the booming market. He is from western NE. Their mid-western roots connected. The market crashed in 2009 and the rest is history. They moved to Lincoln, NE in 2010. Mrs. Enevoldsen started teaching kindergarten in Valparaiso for the 2010-11 school year and jumped around the elementary grade levels since then, with her last few years settling down in second grade. Mrs. Enevoldsen said that if she wrote a book about her job life, she would title it “Every day is a New Day”. She has a love for watching football and cheering on her team, the Minnesota Vikings! Any of her current and former students could attest to that! Mrs. Enevoldsen said that in her free time, she enjoys working out, watching sports (particularly football), going to the lake in the summer, traveling (she stated she is partial to the beach), and hanging out with her little old lady Pomeranian, Harley. Some of her favorite shows to watch are “The Office”, “The Ozarks”, and “Yellowstone”.  When asked what her favorite food was, she stated that she LOVES Mexican food, which chips and salsa are the best! Finally, if Mrs. Enevoldsen could travel anywhere in the world, she would travel to Bora Bora because it is beautiful and she would love to enjoy the beach! Thank you Mrs. Enevoldsen for everything you have done for Raymond Central!
