Laci Pebley
1st Grade

I am a small-town girl who grew up in eastern Montana, and I will forever call Montana home. I went to college in Billings, Montana, at a private liberal arts college, Rocky Mountain College. I received my bachelors degree in elementary education in May 2006. The day after graduation I packed up all of my possessions and moved to Nebraska, but only because my future husband had proposed, without a ring I would have stayed put. :) I spent my first year in Nebraska substitute teaching in several districts surrounding the Fremont area. After covering for a couple of long-term maternity stents at Wahoo Elementary I was hired as one of their 1st-grade teachers. I spent 4 years teaching 1st-grade in Wahoo while working on completing my mastering in Curriculum and Instruction with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education through Doane University. I then was able to land the 1st-grade teaching position at Ceresco Elementary starting in the fall of 2011. Being able to teach in Ceresco was a dream for me as it provided that small-town feel I grew up with, as well as a shorter commute from the acreage my husband and I had just purchased. I have continued teaching 1st grade as that is truly where my heart is. Since then my family has grown by three - a daughter, Aviana, and two sons, Cartwright and Jaxston. We live in the Waverly school district, but we option our kids into the Raymond Central district so they may experience all of the benefits of a small-town school and community.
