| St. Mary's Catholic Church was built in 1903 and dedicated by the first priest, Rev. Fessler. It is combining with St. Joseph's Catholic Chuch in Agnew to build a new structure for both congregations in southeastern Valparaiso. Rev. John Glaves serves as pastor. | ![]() |

| The congregation of the Methodist Episcopal Church conducted dedication services in 1881 for their building. Services prior to that time had been held in members' homes and then in a school house. Among the first pastors were Rev. A.R. Ware and Rev. Cooley. A 1908 addition enlarged the building. Today's pastor is Rev. Elmer Shaw. | ![]()

| The Methodist Episcopal Church, the Christian Church, a store building and a home were used as school houses until the older person portion of the building standing today was completed on March 21, 1921. | ![]()

A Baptist Church was built and dedicated by Reb. Tyson about 1885 or 86 The
Lutheran Church was dedicated in 1901 by Rev. Chenlund. These two churches have long
ago disabanded. At one time five churches existed in Valparaiso.
